I have started to consider the use of materials within my catwalk look. As i have mentioned previously i found the use of wire and metal within McQueens collection really striking and effective. My intention is to create a modern twist on the wild kingdom theme, creating a strong tribal reference with my look. With this in mind i have collected solder wire in different thicknesses which i intend to use perhaps around the neck or wrapped around the head as a headband. As i want to draw attention to the eyes i have considered the idea of adorning the eye area with safety pins, again using a modern material. Below are a few sketches showing how i could use these materials.
